Direct Venting
On Fire! offers direct-vent fireplaces exclusively. With today’s tightly insulated homes, direct venting pulls air for the fire from outside the home and exhausts the burned gasses back through the same vent system. This method completely seals the combustion process from the living area. Concerns about indoor air quality are eliminated, achieving a balanced burn that is not affected by fans or other drafts.
Zone Heating
There literally is a fireplace designed for every room. Installation of a fuel-efficient heater-rated gas fireplace enables you to “zone heat” your home, putting the heat where you need it and when you need it. A central furnace cycles on and off several times an hour and heats your entire house—even unoccupied rooms—wasting money. Using supplemental gas hearth appliances to heat only the rooms your family occupies most allows you to turn down the thermostat for the central furnace, decreasing your fuel bill.
